Nearly 12,000 DEAs and 3,000 NDEAs accredited

A total of 11,967 accredited energy assessors are currently registered on the domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Register and 3,027 accredited energy assessors are registered on the non-domestic EPC Register.

I agree that the number fo assessors accrdited is far in excess of what is needed and who is at fault? - Government AGAIN!
Without any regulation of course providers wannabe surveyors have been encouraged to part with £thousands in the hope of getting rich quick. Why have Government not been policing this to make sure that the market was not over subscribed?
Also, without any enforcement what is the point of having a law in place even though the end result to reduce carbon emmissions affects us all. Imagine if there were no TV detector vans - who would buy a TV licence?
