Established Agencies in North East want out

Submitted by: MikeC (Admin) on 25-Sep-07 12:55:36 PM

According to nebusiness.co.uk, Sarah Mains Property - an Estate Agency operating in the North East - has been receiving offers from fellow Estate Agents looking to sell their businesses because of the uncertainties surrounding the Home Information Pack (HIP).

Company Director Sarah Mains claims to be receiving 'at least an offer a month', the article reports.

She said:

“Older estate agents are trying to sell their businesses because of the uncertainty surrounding HIPs."

“There’s been so much hype about HIPs and people who have been in the industry for a very long time have been looking to sell up...”

According to some members of the real estate industry they are a hindrance in the selling process as they introduce more red tape, the article adds.
