Two Directors Appointed
Last week Quest MD, Tom Parker, became the new AHIPP Chairman; yesterday Paul Broadhead announced he was moving on to pastures new; and now today, AHIPP announce the appointment of two new directors!
Seems that a new direction is being plotted, methinks!
Sitting themselves down in the hot-seat then, is Rob Hailstone of HIPAG and Lesley Sorridimi from HIPHIPhooray.com (a site that has never worked for me, for some reason).
No mention in AHIPP's press release is given on what functions they will serve on the board.
Dual AHIPP and HIP Code Membership
Something I didn't get chance to post yesterday: after several months of qualified rumours, yesterday, AHIPP announced it was not going ahead with plans to require HIP Code members to become AHIPP members too.
There are "several reasons" for this decision, but none were given.
I don't know why it was proposed in the first place which leaves me to conclude that this must be a wise decision - if for no other reason than to avoid the perceived clash of interests it evoked.
