About NSES (NS Energy Services)
Hi My name is Norman Spencer and for most of my working life I have been involved in the plumbing and heating industry. My plumbing qualifications include FIPHE ( Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering)and Eng.Tech (Engineering Technician with the Engineering Council) I spent many years "on the tools" mostly self-employed but then diversified into teaching. I worked as a plumbing lecturer at Newham College, in the East End of London for five years and gained a teaching qualification (Certificate of Education in Further Education)in 1991. After this period of teaching I was lured back into the industry with an offer of a job, which at the time, seemed too good to turn down. Whilst at this job I was involved with energy conservation and qualified as a NHER site assessor in 1996, producing reports on behalf of Total Oil UK.and the Energy Saving Trust. After this job, which turned out not to be as good as promised, one of the reasons being because the "Green issue" was not on peoples minds as it is today, I returned to teaching plumbing at Southend College of Further Education, but yet again returned to the commercial market. This job entailed moving from Essex to Wiltshire as a technical services manager with a manufacturer of plastic plumbing goods. After approximately five years I, along with ten other managers, was made redundant. For a relatively short period of time I worked at Grant Boilers and Plumbase, but then my wife and I decided to move to Devon where I again became a self-employed plumber. I decided to become an energy assessor as a supplement to my plumbing work and hopefully, quickly phase out the plumbing and concentrate all my experience, energy and former knowledge on energy assessing. Regards Norman

A quick note on Google Maps: If the location of the Domestic Energy Assessor is displayed in a foreign country, this is a known issue with Google Maps and their data providers. It should only affect a minority of listings.

Profile

The energy assessment I perform on your home will produce a legally recognised Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

If you are selling your home, you can safely include this Energy Performance Certificate within your Home Information Pack (HIP).

Remember, a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) must belong to a Government-approved accreditation scheme which monitors work and makes checks against the Criminal Records Bureau.
