Tales of a lettings agent

Submitted by: MikeC (Admin) on 14-Nov-08 12:43:13 AM

1stavenue.co.uk lettings agent, Paul Endacott, posts his amusing, if not disturbing, experiences of engaging not one, not two, but three Domestic Energy Assessors... in a month!

One didn't show up. But to give him his due, he did call later to say it was his birthday - no mean feat after several pints in the afternoon (presumably).

Another:

...EPC assessor turned up (not my recommendation) in a battered leather jacket and looking like he had been dragged through a hedge backwards. He had no idea how to draw the floor plan in order to get the correct square footage and knew nothing about the Combined Heat and Power system. The up shot was yet another incorrect certificate.

Good to see at least one agency taking this seriously anyway - way to go Paul!
